The French Market

French Market

Extending from Café du Monde near Jackson Square to the Farmers Market and Flea Market at Barracks Street, the New Orleans French Market sits near the water’s edge offering visitors a colorful experience in one of the most historical markets in the country. The Market is home to various boutiques and cafes, as well as the regular Farmers Market and Flea Market.  Typical touristy items abound, but if you look closely, you may find something eclectic and unique.  The French Market has an active calendar of events and live music.  The annual Mask Market, a display of hand-crafted masks, takes place in February.
