To the right of St Louis Cathedral you’ll find the Presbytere. A former commercial property and courthouse, the Presbytere is now part of the Louisiana State Museum complex. Temporary and permanent exhibits range from educational and informative (Living with Hurricanes: Katrina and Beyond) to cultural (Mardi Gras: It’s Carnival Time in Louisiana) to art, architecture and photography (The Louisiana Plantation Photographs of Robert Tebbs). Definitely worth the time and the admission. Consider purchasing the museum combo ticket.
