Hermann-Grima

Herman-Grima

The Hermann-Grima House, a Federal Mansion constructed in 1831, has regular weekday and Saturday tours. Tours begin on the hour and are led by guides well-versed in the history of the mansion. The house is decorated per the time period with 40% original furnishings. Every Tuesday and Thursday a Creole Open-Hearth kitchen/cooking demonstration is available for viewing (no tasting). Note: the cooking demonstration I viewed was not at the same level as the rest of the tour. I consider this tour a little pricey, but I did enjoy it.
